Summary
We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Hydraulic Engineer to join a leading company in Oregon. Responsibilities
Designs and directs construction of hydraulic engineering projects. Develop innovative engineering solutions.
Ensure that Hydraulic products adhere to all applicable customer and code requirements.
Specifies type and size of equipment, such as conduits, pumps, pressure valves, and tanks.
Prepare procedures and safety instructions regarding hydraulic equipment (HPU), also operation, maintenance and repair of the same. Respond to all documentation, reports and other inward data regarding the hydraulic equipment.
Liaise with the certifying authorities regarding equipment failures repairs and renewals.
Advise on the preparation of hydraulic technical support.
Assist with the preparation of budgets, costs for all surveys, modifications and projects.
Direct customer to ensure that all equipment under their control is maintained and operated in a safe manner consistent with current legislation and Company Code of Safe Working Practices. Attend testing and/or installation of company equipment offsite.
Work within the other groups of the company to gain experience of company product lines and how to explore new markets with existing technology or combining technologies.
Offer support and guidance to junior or less experienced members of the team to aid the growth and development of the company.
Provide engineering support for Sales Department.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
Knowledge of troubleshooting hydraulic circuits and resolution of design issues. Able to coordinate multiple tasks and supervise design and drafting personnel as needed. Qualifications
Minimum B.S.M.E. or related degree with additional years of applicable job experience to qualify.
Registered Professional Engineering designation (P.E or P. Eng.) is preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 + years of industry experience.
Skill in using Microsoft office. Experience with Autodesk (AutoCAD, Vault) - Inventor preferred.
Experience with engineering design for surface mounted BOP Control Systems preferred. Elecro-hydraulic experience required.
PLC programming experience preferred.
Ability to test hydraulic designs in-house.
Ability to travel as needed.
